しかし、その一歩を勇気を持って踏み出し、めげそうになっても、やめたくなっても学びを続けた先には、必ず新しい世界が開けます。
 

私たちは、未経験から始めたこのミートアップイベントを継続開催する中で、そのことを思いがけず体験することとなりました。そして今回、予想だにしなかった大きなチャンスを掴むことができた、その実体験をこのイベントでお伝えします。

When a color defined in a field is similar to the background and becomes difficult to distinguish, a border is now automatically displayed.

2. Configurable default state for search filters

Search filters can now be displayed with preset conditions applied by default.
For example, you can initially exclude items such as “discontinued products” or “out-of-stock items,” allowing flexible control over the initial search results.

3. Automated display of default images when none are set

When no image is assigned to a piece of content, a default image is now displayed automatically.
In addition to the existing default image feature, this update ensures stable visual presentation even when images are missing due to configuration errors.

4. Enhanced video embedding functionality

Previously, embedding external videos (e.g., from YouTube) could fail due to CDN restrictions blocking iframes.
With this update, simply entering a video URL will render the video at the same size and behavior as an iframe, enabling easier and safer addition of video content to pages.

Opening Session: Sharing Visions for a DX-Driven Career

This community-driven event brought together people interested in DX (Digital Transformation) and Drupal, with the aim of exchanging career ideas and real-world experiences.

The session began with an introduction outlining the purpose of the event and the vision moving forward. Attendees were encouraged to think about how to build new careers and explore ideal workstyles through DX.

There were also easy-to-follow explanations of what Drupal is, and how DX plays a key role in today’s tech landscape—particularly useful for those new to the field.

One of the presentation slides offered beginner-friendly insights into topics like:

What kinds of career paths exist in Japan for DX professionals?

Theme Session： Inside the Workday of Three Remote DX Professionals

A major highlight of the event was a session featuring three individuals sharing what a typical remote workday looks like in their lives:

Suzuki-san, a Drupal engineer balancing DX work and parenting

Fukagawa-san, based in Nara, who transitioned into DX from another industry

Naoe-san, known for her Drupal updates, while also managing household responsibilities

The speakers also answered questions from the audience and organizers, helping to clarify what working in DX actually entails, and what remote work is really like on a day-to-day basis.

Another session featured Naoe-san, an active organizer of Drupal MeetUp Haneda, who shared insights into current trends in the Drupal community—particularly upcoming events and ways to get involved.

1. Improved Reliability of Email Delivery

Previously, KamihayaCMS relied on the mail sending capabilities of the hosting server. As a result, issues such as email delivery failures or delays occasionally occurred depending on server conditions or configuration limitations.

With this update, we’ve implemented the following enhancements.

• Mail delivery is now controlled directly within the CMS
• Email processing is now handled via an asynchronous queue, reducing the risk of delivery failures caused by temporary server instability or load
• Enables stable handling of high-volume email sending and time-sensitive processes requiring immediate response.

These improvements contribute significantly to the reliability of essential functions such as contact forms and workflow notifications.
(*Implemented via the Queue Mail module)

2. Bug Fixes in the VBO Module

KamihayaCMS, as an extended CMS based on Drupal, includes the VBO (Views Bulk Operations) module for batch operations in the admin UI. In this version, we addressed a bug where VBO actions failed to execute correctly under certain conditions.

We’ve applied a custom patch within KamihayaCMS to restore expected behavior in line with the original module specification. This fix is planned to be contributed back to the Drupal community.
